The full music from a commissioned work for Festspillene in Bergen 2023, live music to the opening performance "What is the City but the People?". Featuring Nasra Ali Omar on vibraphone, handpan, drums and percussion.

This is a work that combines both classical and traditional folk music from Norway with modern electronic sounds, textures and beats. In addition there is live performance elements from Nasra Ali Omar and myself on electric violin, virtual flutes and breath instruments. There is also field recordings and everyday sounds sampled from the city streets and life of Bergen, Norway. The music often incorporates multiple musical elements and references on top of each other.

The album title is Norwegian and means "slight breeze from northwest", and is a typical weather forecast expression. The track titles are gentle references to either the original performance participants, western Norwegian culture and/or the historical works included. I chose to keep these Norwegian titles, since many of them are riddles, word-plays or references to original works that is untranslatable.

This release is a slightly edited, mixed and mastered recording of the live performance at Festplassen, Bergen, May 24th 2023. I took out some of the sequences where we had to endlessly repeat parts due to delays in the performance flow.
